“Spine” is a wooden sculpture created during the artist’s sculpture course and is the very first piece ever completed, which gives it a special personal meaning. The original idea was to carve a flame, but by experimenting with a channel technique, the form gradually changed. As the work progressed, the wood itself influenced the final result, leading to a shape that feels different from the initial plan.
